James Berridge, that is to say myself, is a creative 'All Rounder' with a specialization in Visual Effects creation and Compositing. 

I first opened Adobe After Effects over 10 years ago to complete a small Effects shot for my first ever film. Since then the two of us, Adobe AE and I, have become creatively inseparable. It is actually due to my experience in creating Visual Effects that I found myself having to branch out into other fields to be able to successfully complete shots I needed to, both personally and professionally. 

For my own projects and for those of others for example, I had to learn manual camera operation in depth; such as the interconnecting relation of Shutter Speed, ISO and Aperture. This allows me to cleanly film a shot with minimal grain/blur, facilitating both speedily produced and realistically applied Visual Effects. 

This frequent use of my DSLR Camera led to Photography becoming a prominent hobby of mine, improving both my camera and Adobe Photoshop skills. I also have interests in Swing dancing, writing and attending board game cafes whenever possible!
